We are a small, passionate, family-run breeding program located in the heart of the United States, devoted exclusively to Miniature and Toy Australian Shepherds since 2009.
Who We Are
Hi – we’re the Thompsons (yes, real last name, real people).
My husband (Jake), myself (Emily), our three kids, and one very patient grandma all live on our 20-acre property where every puppy is born and raised underfoot in our home — never in kennels or barns.
We are not a high-volume kennel. We have only 5 adult breeding dogs at any given time, and we produce just 3–5 carefully planned litters per year. That’s it. This lets us give every single puppy (and every new family) the time and attention you both deserve.
Our Breeding Philosophy
Simple: Health first. Temperament second. Beauty never at the expense of the first two.
Every breeding is planned around:
- Full OFA/PennHIP hips & elbows
- Annual eye CERF/CAER
- Complete genetic panels (we test for everything testable)
- Proven stable, biddable temperaments that make incredible family companions
- Early Neurological Stimulation & Puppy Culture protocols from day 3
We breed for the dogs we want in our own home — because they live in our home.
